A novel

Lord Biskerton has a title but no money. He gets engaged to Ann Moon, niece of the wealthy T. Paterson Frisby, then disappears to the suburbs to avoid his creditors.

His friend Berry Conway needs £500 but his assets consist of shares in a dud copper mine. When Berry meets Ann, and his employer (Frisby) finds that he needs the shares, life in the suburbs hot up.
