A tale of two uncles. Uncle One is the Duke of Dunstable, uncle to Horace and Ricky. He wants Lord Emsworth's prize pig, the Empress of Blandings. Uncle Two is Lord Ickenham who wants only to spread sweetness and light by helping his niece Valerie, who wants to marry Horace, his nephew Pongo, who has to pay off a bookie, and Ricky, who wants to open an onion soup bar and marry Polly.
Stir in one private investigator, a suspicious secretary, a brain specialist and a whistling gardener and it's not just onion in the soup.
