The Girl in Blue

A novel

Crispin Scrope owns a large country house and takes in paying guests to cover its upkeep. When his brother Willoughby believes one of the guests has stolen his valuable Gainsborough miniature, the Girl in Blue, he sets Crispin to retrieve it. For good measure, Willoughby sends his nephew Jerry West along to help, causing him to break a date with the girl he loves. When the butler gets involved, a game of Find the Lady ensues.
