Pigs Have Wings

A Blandings novel

The Empress has a rival, Sir Gregory's new pig, and neither will be safe until the Shropshire show. Three pairs of sundered lovers, a bookmaking butler, a pig-man with a thirst and six bottles of Slimmo all stand between the residents of Blandings Castle and a happy ending.

This book has a complex plot and I can't do it justice here. But don't be put off by my inadequacy - it's an easy book to read and one of the best of the Blandings novels (and that's saying something).

The 'barmaid from the Criterion' plot was used earlier in the short story Indian Summer of an Uncle.
