A novel
When Sally Fairmile visits J. B. Duff, her fiancé's trustee, she encounters Joss Weatherby. Finding himself sacked and in love with Sally, Joss takes a job as valet at Claines Hall, where Sally lives. There he charms his hostess, persuades his employer to wear a stiff shirt, bribes a butler, plots with a man with a false moustache and still finds time to woo Sally. As J. B. says, 'Fresh!'.

A decent length, so maybe not quick service but certainly good service. One from the golden period - and it shows.
