First produced 15 May 1907 at the Gaiety Theatre, London (303 performances).
Produced at the Knickerbocker Theatre, New York from September 1908 (103 performances).
Wodehouse contributed one (probably) or two (possibly) lyrics to the UK production. *
* The history of this production is confused with a whole range of additional song writers and lyrists depending on where it was performed and who's listing. What probably happened is that it was changed for the American audience, with PG's contribution being dropped among others, and new songs added. There might well have been some additional 'fixing' along the way. The UK production may or may not have had lyrics by Wodehouse plus songs by Philip Braham, and Octave Crémieux and J B Bondi. The US production may have had songs by W T Francis and George Grossmith and lyrics by one, some or all of Grossmith, Jerome Kern, J B Loughrey, M E Rourke, Will Anderson, C H Bovill and John L Hazzard. An advert for the song sheet of 'I Remember You' from the show (US or UK not stated) lists words by Vincent Brian and music by Harry von Tilzer! Help please to

The female lead on both sides of the Atlantic, Gertie Millar, was a neighbour of PGW in Le Touquet (in 1934 at least).
