2. One Wodehouse web site cites PG as co-lyrist but this is not backed up anywhere else. A poster/playbill reproduced in David Jasen's book The Theatre of P. G. Wodehouse clearly names John as sole lyrist and PG as co-adapter. The poster also names the orchestra director Darewski as providing additional numbers rather than co-composer with Granichstadten.
3. The Orlov was produced in Vienna from 3 April 1925, running for 570 performances. One assumes that like some wines it did not travel well.
