Hotels
This page lists hotels which are used or featured, and not just as descriptive background.
Note: Some hotels have/had restaurants open to non-residents. Real hotels are indicated; those not indicated are probably invented.

- Barchester Hotel

- Barribault's Hotel
- Brook Street, London. Very select, catering to American millionaires and visiting maharajahs, it has a grill-room open to non-residents. Used in Full Moon, Galahad at Blandings and others, it moves to Clarges Street in Ice in the Bedroom and is in St. James's in Spring Fever. In the latter it is described as a solid mass of stone and steel. (It's been suggested that Barribault's could be Claridge's Hotel, presumably as that is in Brook St., but both are mentioned in Cocktail Time such that PG is clearly thinking of two separate places. B's also tends to move about and the description of stone and steel is far better suited to other hotels, notably the Savoy. I believe Barribault's is an invention based on an amalgam of several hotels that PG knew, placed wherever it was convenient to the plot.)
