PS. I tried to do a map of outer London but found the combination of scale and detail impossible. Americans might imagine trying to construct a map of New York State on one page but still showing the Empire State Building and Brooklyn Bridge as distinct, labelled objects. Also, the area has changed greatly since and during PG's life. Many of the suburbs were still green fields when he was born.
