Lady Florence Craye

The daughter of Lord Worplesdon, who has the worst temper in the county, she has a similar temperament. 'She was like someone in training to be an aunt.' She has a younger brother, Edwin and an Aunt Augusta.

Described as tall, willowy and handsome, and a platinum blonde. The author of Spindrift, she is an intellectual girl of the type 'steeped to the gills in serious purpose who are unable to see a male soul without wanting to get behind it and give it a good shove.' She has no time for a loser.

[In her first appearance she is the same character but effectively head of the family. 'Even when she patted you on the head, she did it with her knuckles.' (Disentangling Old Percy)]

Once engaged to Bertie Wooster she was keen to boost his intellect, but she broke it off thinking he had let her down. (Jeeves Takes Charge)

They were later re-engaged after a misunderstanding about his feelings and a frightful row with her current fiancé, Stilton Cheesewright, but broke with Bertie after she and Stilton made up. Between Bertie (first time) and Stilton (first time) she found enough time to be engaged to Boko Fittleworth. (Joy in the Morning)

Later, the Craye/Cheesewright alliance was further strained, being broken off twice with Bertie picking up the slack again. Then she realised that she loved Percy Gorringe, who was producing her book as a play, and she asked Bertie to release her. (Jeeves and the Feudal Spirit)

Unfortunately, Percy's stage production of her book failed and she dumped him, transferring her affections to Harold Winship before he thought better of it. She then briefly re-engaged with Bertie before calling that off too. (Much Obliged, Jeeves)

So that's Bertie, Boko, Stilton, Bertie, Stilton, Stilton, Bertie, Percy, Harold, Bertie and ...
